چکیده
Understanding how watersheds respond to ecological changes and LULC alteration affects watershed hydrology is crucial for water soil resource management. in the Ajora-Woybo watershed, Ethiopia, have momentously affected resources. The researchers aimed see affect hydrological components (HCs) sediment yield (SED) both historically future. Soil Water Assessment Tool (SWAT2012) Partial Least Squares Regression (PLSR) models were used investigate contribution of each classes achieve goal. findings revealed a continual growth cultivated land, built-up areas, bare retreat shrub land forest during 2000 2020 periods, which expected continue 2035 2050 periods. Changes that happened over historical era increased yearly surface runoff (23.5%), (5.7%), (23.5%). On other hand, observed modifications reduced lateral flow (12.8%) groundwater (10.9%). Except period, evapotranspiration decreased studied years. future impacts states are predicted increase line with trend. PLSR results showed areas had positive association yield, but negative correlation. This highlights importance controlling change as soon possible maintain long-term stability.

Investigation of the process of land cover change using metrics and land change processes in Gorganrood watershed
Aims and Background: The present study purpose to investigate and predict the changes of metrics and Landscape change processes in the Gorganrood watershed in Golestan province. Methodology: First, land cover maps were prepared in 1990, 2000, 2010 and 2020. Then predict land cover changes for future conditions, under two scenarios (1) continuation of the current trend of change for 2040 and (...
متن کاملModeling Land-use and Land-cover Change
Models are used in a variety of fields, including land change science, to better understand the dynamics of systems, to develop hypotheses that can be tested empirically, and to make predictions and/or evaluate scenarios for use in assessment activities. Modeling is an important component of each of the three foci outlined in the science plan of the Land-use and -cover change (LUCC) project (Tu...
متن کاملEvaluating Hydrological Response to Forecasted Land-use Change
It is currently possible to measure landscape change over large areas and determine trends in environmental condition using advanced space-based technologies accompanied by geospatial analyses of the remotely sensed data. There are numerous earth-observing satellite platforms for mapping and monitoring land cover and land-cover change; however, the traditional workhorses have been the Landsat M...
متن کاملLand cover land use mapping and change detection analysis using geographic information system and remote sensing
Land cover/land use categories are relevant components in land management. Understanding how land cover/land use change over time is necessary to assess the consequences of humans and natural stressors on the earth’s environment and resources. The aim of the study was to map and monitor the spatial and temporal change in land cover/land use for the periods of 1977, 1991 and 2016 and to predict ...
متن کاملHydrological responses of a watershed to historical land use evolution and future land use scenarios under climate change conditions
Watershed runoff is closely related to land use but this influence is difficult to quantify. This study focused on the Chaudière River watershed (Québec, Canada) and had two objectives: (i) to quantify the influence of historical agricultural land use evolution on watershed runoff; and (ii) to assess the effect of future land use evolution scenarios under climate change conditions (CC). To achi...
